Original Press Release:

Danaher Motion Redesigns the SV3000--A High-Performance Flux Vector AC Motor Adjustable Speed Drive

Same rugged performance in a smaller, compact package

Cleveland, Ohio -- The SECO(TM) SV3000 AC adjustable speed flux vector drive performs like a DC drive but is equally at home in machines driven by conventional AC drives. Its proven high performance design allows precise control of the speed and torque of an AC induction motor. Its performance surpasses that of most DC drives and approaches that of servo.

The rugged and reliable SECO SV3000 is available from 1 to 350 HP, with open loop and closed loop models available. Among its many features and benefits, the SV3000 includes:

- Redesigned and more compact package
- Rugged NEMA 4/12 enclosures through 40 HP
- Line fuses as standard through 100 HP
- Full torque at zero speed
- Easy installation and programming
- Application specific firmware
- Five-year warranty through 40 HP

Start-up of the SV3000 is as simple as pressing a button, yet security codes limit access to authorized persons only. Easy to program, the SV3000 drive features a Help feature to simplify parameter adjustment. If a fault should develop, a plain language read-out assists in diagnosing the problem.

Programmable I/O and multiple communication formats make the SV3000 easy to integrate into any of today's sophisticated process control or manufacturing applications. Optional firmware packages tailor the SV3000 to demanding applications such as tension control, digital line-shaft, and center-driven winders. The SV3000 also accepts feedback directly as part of a coordinated drive system, thereby eliminating costly and time-consuming customer engineering.

The versatility of the SV3000 makes is ideal for many drive applications including wire and cable, packaging/converting, material handling, metal forming, textiles, food processing, web handling and more.

The SV3000 can be integrated into any turnkey motion control system at the Danaher Motion Engineered Systems Center in Charlotte, NC. Multi-axis control, advanced HMI, and programming assistance are available, as well as on-site commissioning assistance.
