Redesigned ProCoder Multi-bus Absolute Encoder with Enhanced Programmability
Southington, Conn. -August 28, 2003...Baumer Electric has redesigned the ProCoder multi-turn absolute optical rotary
encoder to be fully and easily programmable. The ProCoder now comes packaged with Baumer's ProGeber software, designed to allow the end user to program resolution settings, zero points, direction, and bus ID nodes using any Windows®-based personal computer.
Featuring 200G Shock protection and 29 programmable bits of resolution, the ProCoder can be easily integrated into a variety of popular bus systems including SSI, CANopen, DeviceNet and Profibus, via the simply exchanged bus cover. The ProCoder's modular system increases adaptability, dramatically reduces delivery times, and offers substantial cost savings over traditional, one-piece bus encoders.
