Ridgid® CM1450 Abrasive Saw Cuts a Wide Range of Metals

ELYRIA, OH - April 2003 - Ridge Tool Company has introduced a 14" abrasive cut-off saw that cuts a wide range of metals, including pipe iron, angle iron, rebar and metal studs. The RIDGID® CM1450 is designed to make 45° cuts at both right and left angles.

The new saw has a heavy-duty, cast-iron base with non-slip, rubber feet for sturdy support and low vibration during operation. Its rugged, 120-volt, 15-amp motor runs at 3900 rpm and is built to withstand high torque loads. Its die-cast aluminum housing helps dissipate heat, and the new design allows easy replacement of the externally accessible brushes.

Designed for productivity and ease of use, the Model CM1450 features a comfortable D-grip handle. The unit's quick-release vise makes it easy to clamp and quickly remove the materials
being cut. The 51-lb. cut-off saw also has a hold-down chain and carrying handle to facilitate transporting it to and from the job site.

The saw's abrasive disk measures 14" in diameter with a 1" diameter arbor hole. The unit comes with an arbor lock and an arbor wrench (stored under the base) for easy removal of the
abrasive disk. Other features include tool-less fence adjustment for angle cuts, spark-arresting covers for added safety, and a UL listing. Like all RIDGID tools, the CM1450 is backed by a lifetime warranty.
