Unitizing Mounted Points Produce Highly Polished Finish
A new line of unitized mounted points that are designed for light deburring, cleaning, finishing, and polishing precision machined and cast parts is being introduced by Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts.
Rex-Cut Megabrite(TM) Mounted Points are constructed from a non-woven synthetic fiber material which is compressed, bonded, and impregnated with either aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasives. Offered in a variety of shapes to match exact internal/external surface finishing requirements, they provide a uniform finish that results in a highly polished part.
Featuring smooth, chatter-free grinding while maintaining part geometry, Rex-Cut Megabrite(TM) Mounted Points are conformable and constantly reveal fresh abrasives as they work. Suitable for stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic metals, they are available in most industry standard shapes and can be dressed or formed to fit profiles and hard-to-reach areas.
