New Bear-Tex® Abrasive Aluminum Oxide Very Fine 747 Performance Hand Pad

--The New Non-woven Hand Pad Doubles Cut Rate and Generates Finer Finish--

WORCESTER, Mass., June 6, 2003--The superior cut rate of the new Bear-Tex 747 non-woven abrasive hand pad increases operator productivity while generating a fine surface finish. In most applications, finish is sacrificed for an increase in cut rate, but not with the improved 747 waterproof hand pad design. The superior distribution of resin and abrasive implemented in this design allows the Bear-Tex 747 A/O Very Fine hand pad to double its cut rate throughout its life with a finer abrasive grit size. The new resin system also provides increased resilience to color bleeding when working with solvents.

The new pad easily removes burrs and imperfections without changing dimensional tolerance. Through a substantial amount of internal testing, competitive benchmarking, and field trials, the improved design has proved itself in applications ranging from general purpose cleaning of machinery and tools to removing oxides, defuzzing wood, cleaning solid surfaces and denibbing plastic components. Testing has also verified that the new Bear-Tex 747 hand pad has an increased resilience to bleeding when working with acetone, MEK, and other solvents.

In addition to hand pads, the new Bear-Tex 747 material is also available for sheets, discs, rolls, and flap wheels.
