Weiler Introduces New Trimmable Tiger Disc(TM): A Trimmable Backed Abrasive Flap Disc Providing Durability & Efficiency

Meet the newest addition to Weiler's abrasive flap disc family - the Trimmable Tiger Disc(TM). Featuring a performance-engineered, trimmable backing, this unique Tiger Disc design enables the operator to trim away the back of the disc up to 3/8" from the original diameter, exposing more flap abrasive and dramatically extending the life of the disc. This results in lower grinding and finishing costs.

Weiler's Trimmable Tiger Disc is highly flexible and conformable! By trimming the backing material away, the flap length is extended. Now, users can access hard-to-reach areas such as right angles and irregular shapes, or grind on-edge without changing tools - increasing productivity. In addition, the non-marking backing will not damage the work-piece, resulting in less re-work and scrap.

Like all of Weiler's Tiger Discs, this new trimmable disc aggressively removes stock while providing excellent finish. There is no need to switch from a Type 27 wheel to a resin fiber disc...users can grind and finish in one easy step! This results in fewer changeovers and that means instant value.

Weiler's complete abrasive flap disc offering includes Tiger® Discs, the benchmark of the industry; aggressively priced Vortec Pro(TM) flap discs targeted to provide value in low to medium production environments; and specialty flap discs for application-specific situations, such as the 2" and 3" BobCat disc designed for use on right angle air die grinders; the Big Cat®, primarily used for grinding and finishing curved and irregular surfaces; and the Tiger® Disc for Stainless Steel, specially designed for stainless steel fabricators to provide cool-cutting on stainless steel applications. With this complete product line, there is a variety of flap disc styles and grit sizes to solve a wide range of surface conditioning applications, such as weld blending, grinding, deburring, deflashing, surface finishing, edge chamfering and stock removal.
