PTFE Abrasion Protector Easily Installs Over Stainless Steel Hose
A full line of spirally cut PTFE abrasion protector that can be installed over stainless steel hose to provide additional anti-chafe protection is available from M.M. Newman Corp. of Marblehead, Massachusetts.
Heli-Tube® Spirally Cut PTFE Abrasion Protector provides an added layer of protection for stainless steel hoses that are subject to chafing in harsh environments where chemicals and extreme temperatures are present. Offered in sizes up to 1-½" O.D. to fit over hoses or bundles up to 10" O.D., this expandable PTFE wrap can be easily installed in the field without tools.
Chemically inert and non-flammable, Heli-Tube® Spirally Cut PTFE Abrasion Protector will not produce toxic byproducts if exposed to flame and oper-ates from -450˚F to +450˚F. It is UL recognized and meets MIL-I-22129C, P-22296B, and MIL-T-4728A Type 1 specifications. Other materials including UV-resistant polyethylene, clear or UV black nylon, and Rulan are available.
Heli-Tube® Spirally Cut PTFE Abrasion Protector is priced according to size and quantity; supplied on coils or cut to length. Samples and literature are available upon request.
