Participation in Ingram Micro Content Management Program Helps Fulfill Content Management Needs of Small- to Medium-Sized Businesses

MILPITAS, Calif. - ABBYY®, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture, linguistic technologies and professional services, today announced that it has been selected by Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest technology distributor, to join their Content Management Program. ABBYY joins long-standing partner, Fujitsu, the market leader in document imaging scanners, to deliver easy-to-sell and easy-to-install, content management solutions to Ingram Micro's growing community of IT resellers that support millions of small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) throughout the U.S.

"Content management is a rapidly growing market segment where we see tremendous potential for our Ingram Micro channel partners," said Anne Wilcox, vice president, customer solutions marketing at Ingram Micro U.S. "Our channel partner community is looking for affordable, high-value content management, document capture and indexing solutions that meet the performance and budget demands of today's SMBs. This new program extends our successful working relationship with ABBYY and Fujitsu and will certainly bring forward additional opportunities to address this emerging market together."

Ingram Micro's Content Management Program targets more than 1,200 U.S.-based channel partner organizations. The Content Management Program focuses on identifying and providing IT resellers with solutions they can offer to SMBs to simplify the capture, management, storage, preservation and delivery of documents and information. Bringing ABBYY USA into the program helps to address the capture needs of SMBs, and also allows Ingram Micro to strengthen its channel offerings across the complete document workflow.

As part of ABBYY's participation in the Ingram Micro Content Management Program, ABBYY's full line of document and data capture products, including those integrated into many of Fujitsu's document imaging scanners, will be available to Ingram Micro's channel partners. This includes ABBYY's Recognition Server, which enables SMBs to leverage the full power of Microsoft® SharePoint®Content Management and Search.

"Fujitsu has a long-standing and successful relationship with both ABBYY USA and Ingram Micro," said Nina Lutjens, vice president sales at Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. "With the addition of ABBYY USA to the Ingram Micro Content Management Program, we are able to further capitalize on our strong working relationship and industry leading products to provide Ingram Micro's resellers with the solutions they require to address the content management needs of SMB organizations."

Together, Ingram Micro, Fujitsu and ABBYY are collaborating on a go-to-market approach that will energize the resellers focused on delivering content management solutions, while providing them with award-winning solutions to effectively address the capture category of the document workflow.

"Organizations of all sizes struggle with both document management and ways to best use the documents they create to drive business decisions. For SMBs, this situation is magnified. A solution is often unattainable due to limited resources, lack of expertise or a lack of budget," Bill Kouzi, vice president sales, distribution group for ABBYY USA. "ABBYY specializes in tailoring partner friendly, low cost and high ROI document and data capture solutions to meet the needs of organizations of all sizes. Joining Fujitsu in Ingram Micro's Content Management Program reaffirms ABBYY's ability to meet the SMBs needs, enabling them to automate the data capture process and streamline information flow for faster decision making."
