New Lineup of Manual Chain Hoists from Konecranes Offer Lifting Capacities of ¼ to 20 Tons

Exceptional Lineup of Manual Hoists for All Your Standard Lifting Needs

SPRINGFIELD, OHIO (September 14, 2007) - The high-end manual hoists from Konecranes, the leading chain hoist manufacturer, provide exceptional service and reliability for all your standard lifting needs. Built to the highest standards, manual chain hoists and lever pullers from Konecranes combine a ¼ - 20 ton lift capacity with robust construction and superior designs. Manual chain hoists from Konecranes are the ideal solution for any lifting initiative.

The top of the line KKT manual chain hoist provides a lift capacity of ½ - 20 tons and is constructed entirely of steel to withstand the harsh environments of construction and maintenance applications. The KKT features lifting and suspension hooks made of forged steel, fitted with safety latches and marked with inspection points, a load limiter to prevent lifting loads beyond rated capacity, and starts with a standard lift height of 10 feet. The load chain is made of high strength grade 80 alloy steel with a galvanized finish for corrosion resistance. The KKT also meets or exceeds international standards, including ASME B30.16.

The KM Series II manual chain hoist offers a ¼ ton - 10 ton lift capacity, allowing for versatile lifting capabilities and overall efficiency. The machined chain sprocket and gears provide smoother, more efficient operation while the overload limiting device helps prevent lifting loads beyond rated capacity, except a ¼ ton unit. The KM Series II also comes standard with an initial lift height of 10 feet and a galvanized, high strength grade 80 alloy steel load chain same as the KKT. Chain lengths are customizable and can be provided in any necessary length. The more compact design of the KM offers safety and reduced weight with a Weston-style brake with two brake friction discs, providing four braking surfaces. Hooks are alloy steel, heat-treated, and equipped with hook latches and inspection points. The KM is ideal for construction and maintenance applications.

The top of the line KLP lever puller provides a ¾ - 6 ton lift capacity and uses a smooth free wheel operation for an easy chain adjustment when rigging the load. The compact and light weight design of this hoist makes it extremely versatile; it can operate in tight quarters with a 360 degree handle rotation and a 15 degree handle recovery stroke. The KLP features a rugged steel construction, comes standard with a lift height of 5 feet, and a galvanized, high strength grade 100 alloy steel load chain. The dual pawl Weston-style brake has two friction discs providing four braking surfaces. Inspection and cleaning are simple due to an open chain path. The KLP meets or exceeds international standards, including ASME B30.21.

Featuring a ¼ - 3 ton lift capacity, the KL Manual Lever Puller is perfect for your standard lifts. Features include a galvanized, high strength grade 80 alloy steel load chain, a dual pawl Weston-style brake, comes standard with lift height of 5 feet, and a 360 degree handle rotation and rubber grip. The brake of the KL lever puller is enclosed to provide protection against dirt, hooks are heat-treated alloy steel and equipped with hook latches and inspection points, and is constructed of steel with a chrome finish. The KL lever puller is ideal for construction, maintenance, service, and other applications.

Available accessories include the KBC beam clamp with versatile jaws designed for hanging a top hook hoist to mount to a range of tapered or flat beams; the KPT manual push trolley designed for both manual and electric top hook hoists; and the KPTC manual hand geared trolley with a 1 - 5 ton capacity.
