The customer had stringent requirements;

They ultimately purchased a Robotic Cell from Guyson after reviewing all competitor’s proposals and seeing that Guyson could not only meet the requirements but support the machine after installation. Guyson provided machine solid models, robot cycle time simulations and leading edge engineering software that made good business sense to purchase from Guyson.
This system was engineered for precise RA surface finish to prepare parts for best coating adhesion properties. It is designed fully automated to run without need for operator intervention. The process utilizes a vision system for incoming part identification. Which identifies the correct part has been places in the correct tray. This in turn selects the correct tool and correct handling and blast program to execute the processing of each part.
The 7th Axis control allows for independent part rotation during the blast cycle which optimizes the blast program increasing the speed, accuracy and ability to blast traditionally difficult areas to reach with precise blast coverage.
Equipped with 3D printed gripper fingers that are designed around the customer’s CAD models to hold the exact contour of the part for maximum control and precise pick and place.
The Custom Robotic Pressure Feed Blast Grit Blast System is comprised of an ABB IRB 140-6 six-axis robot for nozzle positioning and an ABB 1RB2600 for parts handling. Protected by Guyson Custom Robot Suit that is designed for ultimate abrasion protection and freedom of movement. For media reclamation, the systems are equipped with a Guyson Model 75/12 and D-2000 dust collector for maximum efficiency.
