Model 8454 DB25 A/B/C/D Switch, Ideal for THX Audio Interface Applications

Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new Model 8454 DB25 Audio Interface A/B/C/D Switch. This switch allows the user to reroute data between any one of four DB25 devices to one COMMON device with the simple rotation of a selector switch.

This switch incorporates a high-quality sealed switch with self-wiping precious metal contacts. The Internal wiring between the switch and the DB25 port connectors utilizes twisted pairs to accommodate the pin/signal listing of THX audio signals. This pairing was selected to minimize audio signal crosstalk for THX signal assignment at the DB25 interface. This switch is ideal for THX Audio Interface applications.

The Model 8454 is enclosed in an attractive anodized aluminum case that provides EMI/RFI shielding. All 25 pins of the DB25 interface are switched. All port shields are grounded to the chassis. A rear-panel chassis stud accepts a spade lug for secure grounding.
