Parabolic Metal Mirrors focus light off axis.

Press Release Summary:

Parabolic Metal Mirrors direct and focus incident collimated light at 30, 60, or 90° off axis. They have diameters of 25.4 or 50.8 mm and effective focal lengths ranging from 25 to over 150 mm. Mirrors are made of 1/4 wave aluminum 6061-T6 substrate. They are available with protected aluminum coatings for visible applications or protected gold coatings for use in FLIR test systems. Each mirror has 6-32 TPI tapped hole for accurate mounting.

Edmund Industrial Optics Announces Off-Axis Parabolic Metal Mirrors

September 13, 2002, Barrington, NJ - Edmund Industrial Optics (EO) of Barrington, New Jersey has announced the release of metal parabolic reflectors that direct and focus incident collimated light at either 30°, 60°, or 90° off axis.

These mirrors are sections of a parabola form, designed to focus the light to a spot that is more accessible to users than an on-axis focal spot. These mirrors are typically used as collimators in Schlierien systems (which measure density gradients in fluid or air current flow), MTF systems (which measure how well an image is transferred through an optical system), and laser beam expanders.

The parabolic mirrors have diameters of either 25.4 or 50.8mm and effective focal lengths ranging from about 25 to over 150mm. These 1/4 wave aluminum 6061-T6 substrate mirrors are available with protected aluminum coatings for visible applications or protected gold coatings for use in FLIR (forward-looking IR) test systems.

Each mirror has a 6-32 TPI tapped hole for easy and accurate mounting. Mounting plates are sold separately.
