This 19-inch rack mountable or table top enclosure is a rugged compact chassis design that is fully PICMG 2.0 complaint and supports up to 12 application peripheral devices while featuring space for the system CPU and 3 redundant, hot swappable power supplies as well as a PCI-to-PCI bridge for added expansion. The cPCIS-2103 is designed for applications where faults and interrupts are not tolerated such uses in Test and Measurement, Industrial Automation and Control, Medical Systems, Data Communications, Telecommunications, Transportation
and Aerospace industries.
In a 4U high form factor, the cPCIS-2103 chassis is capable of assembling a wide range of 3U CompactPCI cards in an EMC/EMI resistant chassis. The additional slots increase the flexibility and versatility for many applications needed by today's users and can be configured with 6 slots on the primary side and 6 slots on the secondary side for 32-bit user-defined peripherals cards. The system provides added space for three front mounted, hot swappable AC/DC power supplies. When applied using ADLINK's modular CompactPCI power supply, the system is fault-tolerated to any power failure while supplying 320W of total power plus 175W for redundancy.
The chassis has been fully integrated and tested with ADLINK's broad range of powerful plug-in 3U cPCI processor cards and application modules ranging from data acquisition to process and motion control applications. The cPCIS-2103 is custom configurable but is also offered in other combinations such as the use of all available slots for one powerful computing system of cPCI cards and RAID drives for deploying as servers or segmented systems, or as a fail-safe monitoring system. System configuration is also offered with optional rear I/O capability.
