3Dconnexion 3D Mice Now Supported by HP Remote Graphics Software

SpaceExplorer and SpacePilot Extend 3D Design Capabilities to Remote Graphics Workstations

San Jose, Calif. - Nov. 27, 2007 - 3Dconnexion, a Logitech company, today announced that its SpaceExplorer(TM) and SpacePilot(TM) 3D mice are now supported by HP Remote Graphics Software Version 5 (RGS), giving designers advanced 3D navigation and control when working remotely in any application supported by 3Dconnexion.

Engineers, designers and artists can use the SpaceExplorer or SpacePilot to fly through 3D scenes and move 3D objects with precise and powerful control when accessing their high-performance workstations remotely through HP RGS to view and edit 3D designs. In addition, 3Dconnexion's 3D mice allow design teams to manipulate 3D objects and scenes while collaborating and communicating in real-time on design and visualization projects.

"The navigation and control capabilities provided by SpaceExplorer and SpacePilot, coupled with HP's robust architecture in RGS for high-end graphic performance, virtually eliminates latency issues when exploring even the largest 3D models and scenes from a remote location or across multiple workstations," said Ziva Nissan, 3Dconnexion's director of product marketing. "This enhanced workflow will greatly benefit the collaboration of designers."

More about 3Dconnexion's 3D Mice
Unlike mice confined to motion on two flat planes, the SpaceExplorer and SpacePilot 3D mice allow effortless movement and control within 3D applications. By simply moving the controller cap, 3D engineers working remotely with HP RGS can simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate without stopping to select commands, significantly impacting their overall design experience and productivity. A slight increase in pressure accelerates motion, while a slight decrease in pressure slows motion for precise micro-adjustments, giving designers increased control.

3Dconnexion provides advanced and affordable 3D mice that are supported by more than 120 of today's most popular 3D applications, including CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER®, NX(TM), Solidworks®, Autodesk® Inventor(TM), AutoCAD®, Solid Edge®, and all top-tier 3D CAD applications.
