19 Whirlpool® Appliances Earn Good Housekeeping Seal

Select Appliances Now Backed By Additional, Independent Two-Year Warranty

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – Homebuilders, remodelers and interior designers focused on quality and boosting profitability have 19 great reasons to recommend Whirlpool® products to their customers, thanks to 19 Whirlpool® kitchen and laundry appliances that have earned the Good Housekeeping Seal from the Good Housekeeping Research Institute (GHRI).

Founded in 1900 for the purpose of improving the lives of consumers and their families, the GHRI is the consumer product evaluation lab of Good Housekeeping magazine. Products which carry the Good Housekeeping Seal – such as the Whirlpool® French door refrigerator with MicroEdge® shelves, Whirlpool Gold® Series Dishwasher with PowerScour™ and Whirlpool Duet® laundry pair – carry a two-year limited warranty as part of the magazine's consumer policy.

"There's no question that consumers value the Good Housekeeping Seal on products they buy, especially when it's found on kitchen and laundry appliances they use every day," said Bob Bergeth, general manager of builder sales at Whirlpool Corporation. "Whirlpool has worked hard to earn these recognitions because they give builders, remodelers, contractors and consumers additional peace of mind when Whirlpool appliances are installed in the home."

Research has found that 94 percent of all consumers recognize the Good Housekeeping Seal; 89 percent of consumers are more inclined to buy products carrying the GH Seal when choosing between similar products; and, 40 percent of consumers are willing to pay more for an appliance with the GH Seal.

The Whirlpool® French door refrigerator with MicroEdge® shelves (WRF736DA) is the latest product from the brand to earn the Good Housekeeping Seal. The refrigerator provides builders a way to offer homeowners more kitchen storage thanks to MicroEdge® shelves that offer 25 percent more usable shelf space , and the In-Door-Ice® system that creates more space in the refrigerator compartment.

"For decades, the Good Housekeeping Seal has provided much-needed trustworthy guidance for consumers as well as industry professionals seeking products that will perform as promised for their customers," said Miriam Arond, Director of the Good Housekeeping Research Institute. "We're pleased to provide consumers with peace of mind, ensuring them that the Whirlpool products installed in their new or remodeled homes have earned our emblem, signifying quality and financial reassurance."

In addition to earning the Good Housekeeping Seal on the Whirlpool® French Door Refrigerator with MicroEdge™ shelves, 12 Whirlpool® laundry appliances, four Whirlpool® dishwashers, two Whirlpool® ranges and a second Whirlpool® refrigerator have earned the GHRI distinction. Model numbers for appliances backed by the Good Housekeeping Seal and the additional two-year warranty are:

• Whirlpool® ranges: WFE/G720HOA and WFE/G710HOA.

• Whirlpool® dishwashers: WDT910SAY, WDT790SAY and WDF750SAY
