Original Press Release:

Sleek, New 4U Frame Takes Data Connectivity Out of Rack

Simple solution returns valuable data center rack space.

HellermannTyton announces its Out of Rack connectivity solution, which adds 4U of space above cabinets and racks to accommodate patch panels or additional active hardware to maximize data center floor space as well as telecommunications rooms.

Moving the connectivity and interconnect equipment out of the rack or cabinet frees additional space, which can then be used to increase server counts per rack, maximizing the return on valuable data center real estate. Managing the patching and horizontal cabling outside of the rack or cabinet helps improve critical airflow across the active equipment.

The system includes universal mounting brackets to provide simple, flexible mounting options for a ladder rack or overhead cable tray. Also included are cable rings to route bundles.

The standard 19” rack mount accepts traditional copper and fiber panels as well as RapidNet® preterminated solutions for swift deployment. Each unit is rated for a maximum 100-pound load.
