Henkel Loctite Introduces Visible Light Cure Flood System



Rocky Hill, Conn. - December 19, 2002. Henkel Loctite Corporation has introduced a new visible light cure flood system, the Loctite® ZETA® 7420, an innovative and cost-effective solution to high intensity light cure requirements.

The reliable and simple ZETA 7420 is designed for use in a wide range of bonding, potting, tacking, and sealing applications. Optimized to emit light in the visible blue and green region, the ZETA 7420 features a high intensity 1,500-watt bulb that delivers a typical cure area of 12 square inches. Expected bulb life is approximately 1,000 hours with proper handling and maintenance. The lamp and power supply are separate for installation flexibility, and the lamp is designed with mounting chains to facilitate attachment to fixtures.

The ZETA 7420 includes a glass filter to reduce short and medium wavelength lamp emissions. While the system is designed for manual operation, the light source can be pulled from the power supply and mounted over a conveyor belt for automated use. The system is compatible with most dual cure capability (UV/visible) light cure adhesives.
