New 3400V Ultra Precise 4-Inch Vise With 6-Inch Jaw Opening Small machining center users will find Kurt's new Model 3400V Versatile Lock® vise a great new way to add versatility, accuracy and capacity to their operations. With a full 6-inch jaw opening (conventional vise designs limited to 4-inch jaw opening), this new Kurt vise has 0.0005 inch clamping repeatability with the enlarged workholding area. Featuring the time-proven Anglock® design, this new vise prevents parts from lifting upward under heavy clamping loads. The "pull-type" jaw clamping design reduces deflection.
The new 3400V has a robust, one-piece vise body and stationary jaw machined of 80,000-PSI ductile iron, providing greatest strength while reducing vibration. Can be mounted on both sides and has matched stationary jaw to keyway including body height ±0.001 inch. Available in standard and reverse manual and hydraulic models. This new model 3400V has a list price of $895 and replaces the model PT400.
Kurt Expands HD690 Vises To Include Hydraulic And Reverse Models Kurt's Pull Type HD690 vise with 9-inch opening is now available with hydraulic actuation. It is also available as a reverse vise and in a reverse vise model with hydraulic actuation. All models feature the Kurt Anglock® design, which is now combined with the pull type design for the ultimate in workholding rigidity and accuracy.
Kurt's New Fixturing, High Precision Locating, Gaging And Automation
Kurt Integrated Technology provides automation integration of gaging, custom workholding and robotics. New Kurt PinLock(TM) Locating And Mounting System
Kurt's new PinLock(TM) makes attaching and removing fixtures, vise / subplates from machining centers fast and easy. PinLock provides locating repeatability up to ±.0005 inch. Ideal for setting up and interchanging multiple pallets for a series of machining centers. The PinLock has a helical extraction design making PinLock removal easier during binding side-loads. Available in multiple sizes.
New Kurt Hydraulic Pump
Kurt's new 5000 PSI Air Hydraulic Pump provides constant hydraulic pressure and holding power for its hydraulic vises, cluster towers and swing clamps. This new pump is driven by a high efficiency pneumatic motor and operated with a convenient, easy-to-use foot pedal. Weighing just 19 lbs., it operates with ordinary shop air at up to 145 PSI input pressure and is easily moved and reconnected from one clamping station to another.
New Kurt Swing Clamps
Kurt Swing Clamps swing and clamp in one continuous motion. With a single cylinder design, these Swing Clamps provide from 475 lbs to 6000 lbs clamping force with a maximum pressure of 5000 PSI. Directional change of the swing clamp motion is easily made with a push/pull feature turning the clamping head left 90° or right 90° on designated models. Available in upper and lower flange and threaded body mounting styles for added flexibility, Kurt Swing Clamps have many design features including hardened steel bodies and hard chrome pistons to ensure long operating life up to a million cycles.
New Kurt Sine Parallels For Angled Setups
Clamp workpieces at 30°, 45° and 60° angles using Kurt's new Sine Parallels. They add versatility to any standard 6-inch vise for machining at the three common angles. Following 4 initial setup, the Sine Parallels can be changed quickly to any of the three angles and also can be used as a parallel. Ideal for any lot size from prototype to production.
