For those seeking that rare combination of safety and style, Mercedes-Benz has a new solution for music moguls, celebrities, and anyone else who could have someone gunning for them. That’s because the 2018 Inkas G63 AMG armored limousine is now available with B7-rated ballistic protection, which is the highest possible level for a civilian-grade vehicle. This means the vehicle’s passengers are safe from weapons spanning a 9mm handgun to armor-piercing rounds fired by a super high-velocity sniper rifle.
The G63 AMG also features ballistic glass and infrared and thermal cameras that can record video for uploading to a more secure, cloud-based server. A 563-horsepower V8 engine looks to provide enough power to get the safer, but heavier limo out of trouble – in style of course, because after all, it is a Mercedes-Benz limo.
The luxury items include Alcantara suede and leather seating that uses a proprietary stitching technique to help improve durability. The interior also features newly designed, fully-reclining captain seats with a massage function and built-in control center from which you can command all of the vehicle’s media, lighting, temperature, and security functions. Some of these media items include 4K Apple TV on a 4K ultra-high-definition screen, a bar with a cooler, and a customizable audio system that features speakers tailored to customer preferences.
And it could be yours for a mere $1.2 million.
