Recyclable Tray Manufacturer to Add 125 Jobs

An eastern Pennsylvania manufacturer of recyclable plastic food trays recently announced plans to expand and create more than 125 new jobs.

State officials said that Clearly Clean Products will purchase and renovate an 80,000-square-foot building in nearby Frackville, as well as build a new facility next to its Orwigsburg headquarters.

The new 45,000-square-foot Orwigsburg building will house engineering and production operations, whole the Frackville facility will provide thermoforming capabilities and warehouse space.

The $10 million expansion is expected to add the new full-time positions over the next three years. The company touts its plastic trays as completely recyclable and three times stronger than polystyrene trays.

“Clearly Clean is rapidly expanding and has been hiring for practically every position, from lawyers to engineers and production line workers,” said managing partner Millard Wallace.

The company is slated to receive a $350,000 state grant and $250,000 in tax credits from the state after the new positions are established, and the governor’s office said Clearly Clean could also apply for a low-interest loan worth $3 million.
