Milwaukee Tool has announced plans to begin construction on a significant expansion of its Global Headquarters Campus in Brookfield, Wisconsin. With a total investment of $32 million, the 3.5-acre advanced manufacturing and R&D site is expected to create 350 new jobs.
The project will support the company’s advanced manufacturing and engineering divisions, as well as their global research and development center. The 114,500-square foot, multi-story building starts construction later this year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. The Headquarters facility will grow from 390,000 to approximately 504,500 square feet.
According to a release announcing the expansion, Milwaukee Tool has experienced double-digit growth throughout the last decade. The company has also continued to invest heavily in its national footprint, making over $190 million in capital investments within the U.S. and growing its base of U.S. employees to over 3,500.
Milwaukee Tool, formerly Milwaukee Electric Tool, was founded in 1924. It is considered a leader in electric, pneumatic, and cordless power tools and accessories. It is also a subsidiary of Techtronic Industries Co.
