Zeller + Gmelin Can Supply CAT

Divinol meets Caterpillar - a recipe for success

EISLINGEN, 12 December 2019 - Zeller + Gmelin is pleased to have received a great honour. The world's largest manufacturer of construction machinery, Caterpillar (CAT), has recognised the German lubricant expert for its innovative product range in the heavy duty sector. Divinol engine and gear oils are both receiving the 'Meet Caterpillar XY specification' certification for their excellent qualities. They therefore fully meet the very demanding requirements of Caterpillar.

With the Divinol Multimax range, Zeller + Gmelin offers a wide range of year-round high-performance engine oils especially for commercial vehicles. The German lubricant manufacturer has also provided hydraulic gear oils capable of meeting the toughest demands in construction machinery within its product offering for years. "We have achieved an important milestone with our heavy duty lubricants qualifying for certification from major construction machinery manufacturer Caterpillar," says Andreas Krapf, Product Manager for Automotive and Speciality Automotive Products at Zeller + Gmelin. "We are really pleased about this honour, of course, as it recognises the advanced technology and performance of our lubricants. This has given us another way to draw attention to the great qualities of our Divinol offering."

Manufacturers' approval also for several engine and hydraulic gear oils

Along with construction machinery, Caterpillar also produces high-speed and medium-speed diesel and gas engines. The term heavy duty refers to their application in agriculture, forestry, construction, industry, transport, cable cars and from major commercial customers. The new Meet Caterpillar XY specification represents a standard for third-party products that promises maximum durability and performance from Caterpillar engines. The particular ECF specifications have been developed to help Caterpillar engines comply with the stringent emissions regulations of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Zeller + Gmelin received certification for several of its Divinol lubricants in the heavy duty area. That means the designated products all meet the high standards of the US manufacturer. Among the required properties are: high-quality wear protection and pressure absorption capacity, emission reduction and fuel savings, good low-temperature properties, ideal non-ferrous metal compatibility, top protection for seals and tubes as well as superb friction levels for optimal power transmission.

Andreas Krapf adds to conclude: "The year-round high-performance engine oils of the Divinol Multimax range are particularly popular with our customers because where standard lubricants fail or reach their limits, they are able to meet the highest demands. All in all, we are creating several sustainable benefits with our Divinol products - such as longer durability, less downtime and an overall improved performance for Caterpillar machines."
