Zebra Offers Highest Level of Wireless Security on All Tabletop Printers

Vernon Hills, Ill., Dec. 10, 2007-Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a global leader in specialty printing and automatic identification solutions, today announced that all Zebra tabletop printers now support 802.11b/g and WPA2 standards for wireless security. Zebra is one of the few thermal printer companies to support this advanced security offering on tabletop printers

The 802.11b/g architecture and the advanced Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA2) security standard are recent additions to the ZebraNet Wireless Plus print server option, available for the Zebra ZM400/ZM600 industrial/commercial printers, XiIIIPlus, 105SL and S4M printers, and the PAX4 print engines. Using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), WPA2 strongly protects confidential data transmissions. Its performance, security and manageability are far superior to the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption protocol provided for the 802.11b standard.

Customers currently using the ZebraNet Wireless Plus print server for the XiIIIPlus, 105SL, S4M or PAX4 can easily download a free firmware upgrade from www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/index/drivers_downloads/firmware.html to enable 802.11b/g and WPA2 support on their existing printers.
