Xten Announced Business of the Year

[Kenosha, WI] Xten Industries Inc. was named the 2011 Business of the Year by the Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) and
the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce.

Xten's selection was based on the company's overall economic impact on the community, which was a combination of its strong
sales growth, increasing levels of employment, expanding innovation in product and services and community engagement.

"We're striving to offset the effects of the slow economy by expanding our customer base and widening the types of services offer,"
said Matt Davidson, Xten CEO. "We've defined manufacturing as more than building parts and components. We're helping
improve our customers' profitability from the product design stage right through to delivery of their finished goods. We call it
Multifacturing."

The recognition is the latest in a series of awards for Xten, including being named three times to the Metropolitan Milwaukee
Association of Commerce's Future 50 list of fastest-growing companies, and being one of four Kenosha area companies selected
as a Wisconsin Company to Watch by the Wisconsin Entrepreneur Network and the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.

Between 2009 to 2011, Xten's revenue climbed by $4.5 million, partly due to the production of new products from customers in
both the medical waste disposal and appliance industries. This growth allowed the company to expand the work force in its 78,000
square-foot Kenosha facility by 20 full-time employees.

The Kenosha County Business Excellence awards program began in 2005 when KABA and the Kenosha Chamber joined together
to present one collaborative program celebrating successful companies. The selection format was revised for this year's awards to
recognize the distinction between smaller and larger businesses. Xten was named winner among firms that employ more than 30
people and have been in business for at least five years.

The panel of judges included winners from past years, a representative from BizTimes Milwaukee, as well as representatives from
the business school programs at UW-Parkside, Carthage College and Gateway Technical College. For more information about the
