SAN JOSE, Calif., March 3, 2011 - Xilinx, Inc. (Nasdaq: XLNX) today announced its participation at Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exposition 2011 in Los Angeles, from March 8-10, 2011, Los Angeles Convention Center, Booth #2335. During the conference, Xilinx experts will share how Xilinx FPGA partial reconfiguration can yield resource and power savings in optical network elements. Attendees will also be able to see demonstrations of Xilinx's new Optical Transport Network (OTN) capabilities in 120G and 28 Gbps serial transceiver designs, featuring the company's latest Virtex®-7 HT FPGAs.

Live In-Service Modification of Optical Network Elements Implemented with Xilinx FPGAs
Xilinx Research Labs Engineer, Gordon Brebner, will present a paper on the topic of how Xilinx FPGA partial reconfiguration can yield resource and power savings in optical network elements through selective hardware modification during live operation, illustrated by two examples: data framing and EFEC calculation.

Xilinx to Demonstrate Next-Generation 100G, 120G and 400G Applications at Booth #2335
Xilinx will be demonstrating its new OTN capabilities to address 100G and 120G ODU switching applications with its latest IP solution. The company will also be demonstrating its 28 Gbps serial transceiver technology for next-generation 400G line card applications, utilizing its latest Virtex-7 HT devices.
