Xilinx Showcases Award-Winning Embedded System Solutions at ESC Silicon Valley

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 17 / -- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX) today announced a series of workshops, technical presentations and product demonstrations that will showcase the latest developments in embedded system design at the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) to be held on April 3 through April 7, 2006 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

Xilinx will host hands-on, technical workshops providing ESC attendees with the opportunity to personally experience the "endless possibilities" for leveraging the flexibility of Xilinx FPGAs with embedded system and DSP applications. In addition, industry experts from Xilinx and its ecosystem partners will present technical papers as part of the ESC conference program on a range of advanced topics including co-processor acceleration and partial reconfiguration, managing signal integrity and power considerations in the nanometer era, and platform FPGA design for high-performance DSP.

Xilinx embedded product portfolio will also be featured at the 2nd annual Microprocessor Summit, a one-day ESC program held at the Fairmont Hotel on Monday, April 3rd, with demonstrations of the Xilinx embedded PowerPC(TM) and MicroBlaze(TM) processor solutions. The MicroBlaze 32-bit soft core was named to EDN's Hot 100 Products of 2005 (http://www.xilinx.com/prs_rls/xil_corp/0614_edn100.htm).
