Xilinx Executive Vincent Tong Elected to Global Semiconductor Alliance Board of Directors
SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 3 - Xilinx, Inc. (Nasdaq: XLNX) today announced that Vincent Tong, 45, vice president of worldwide quality and reliability engineering for Xilinx, has been elected to the board of directors for the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA), the voice of the global fabless business model. As one of the world's first fabless semiconductor companies, Xilinx has been an influential advocate for growth and global expansion of the fabless business model, serving as an active member of the organization since its founding in 1994.
Vincent brings more than 20 years experience in semiconductor development, design and manufacturing to his new position on the board, including proven leadership in building teams across multiple geographies in close collaboration with GSA member companies (foundry, substrate, assembly, automated test equipment, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, design-for-test, and design-for-manufacture software suppliers).
