World-Class Medical Temperature Monitoring for Just a Dollar a Day

Accsense Vaccine Storage Monitoring Kit for Joint Commission Compliance

CHESTERLAND OH – Regulatory pressures are increasing in the healthcare and life science industries following several well-publicized storage unit failures and spoiled vaccine supplies. The Accsense Vaccine Storage Temperature Monitoring Kit is the ideal solution for hospitals, clinics, health departments, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities around the world. Our kit enables you to monitor temperature in a refrigerator or freezer and also provides customized alarming and data storage. With inputs for two RTDs and a thermocouple, the flexible Accsense A2-05 pod can monitor vaccine storage units for compliance with the Joint Commission and per CDC Guidelines. The included Compact RTD probe is NIST-calibrated and monitors temperature from +100° to -100°C at high accuracy. Users can setup alarm triggers and receive alarms via email, cell phone, pager or landline. The kit has everything you need to modernize your medical or life science storage--and all for under a thousand dollars. Since most VFC refrigerators store vaccines valued at $30,000 to $60,000, isn't that a low price to pay for peace of mind? Call Accsense today at 1-800-956-4437 for more information and a representative will be glad to help you with your questions.

Joint Commission Guidelines on Temperature Monitoring: What do Joint Commission regulations say about temperature monitoring and documentation? "…EC. 01.01.01 requires that the organization describes and implements processes to maintain and monitor equipment performance. If your organization chooses to use temperature monitoring to achieve this, the monitoring method must track temperature in an ongoing fashion to indicate whether or not internal temperature has deviated from the required ranges for all drugs stored. In addition, the organization should have a defined process outlining disposition of medication from a refrigerator or freezer which has deviated from the recommended temperature range."

- from the Joint Commission's Standards FAQ page

Accsense continual monitoring systems fully comply with this and other Joint Commission guidelines.

Temperature calibration is also required in the CDC Guidelines for temperature sensors used for medical monitoring applications; this includes children's vaccine storage, life science storage and more. CDC recommends using only calibrated temperature monitoring devices with a Certificate of Traceability and Calibration Testing (also known as Report of Calibration). Our kit provides you with this key component.

State-of-the-Art Medical Monitoring

Our Vaccine Temperature Monitoring Kit comes complete with all hardware, a compact RTD Probe, NIST-Traceable Certificate of Calibration, and a 1-year Monitoring Subscription, all for less than $1000. Subsequent subscription costs are only $69.00 annually for data storage, remote monitoring, and alarm notification via telephone voice messaging, email, and SMS texts. This advanced functionality gives peace of mind and helps to protect vaccines and other critical life science products.

The included Accsense Ethernet Temperature Data Logger measures and records temperature data at high accuracy by connecting to medical refrigerators and freezers. The datalogger has inputs for two RTD sensors and a Type T thermocouple for use in ultralow and liquid nitrogen chambers. The data logger's hassle-free operation means no expensive training sessions—just plug them in and let them run. Users can also login through any Web browser to view real-time reports and graphs of their data or configure the system from anywhere Internet connection is available.

NIST-Calibrated Temperature Probe

The included Compact RTD probe is NIST-calibrated and monitors temperature at high accuracy from -100°C to +100°C. The probe is small enough to fit inside medical refrigerators and freezers so it's easy to place for reliable readings. The kit also includes a glycol buffer vial. Furthermore, if you have additional cold storage equipment, you can add up to two more sensor probes at a very reasonable price.

View Real-Time Data Online

The A2-05 datalogger is LAN-wired and can also operate using Power over Ethernet via the included power adapter. The datalogger will send out power and internet outage notifications, and in the event of a loss of the network connection, the A2-05 will store up to 256 data points or log until the connection is restored.

A full year's subscription for real-time monitoring and data storage is included with the kit. This 1-Year Monitoring Subscription includes:

• Online Account giving users web access from any browser; Real-Time viewing; Centralized Monitoring, System Management and Control;

• Secured Data Logging ensuring Unalterable Measurements; Automatic Recording at User-Selectable Intervals; Time/Data Stamped Log; 'One-Click' Download of Data;

• 100% Secure Data Storage meaning Zero Downtime; Daily Backups at our Data Center; Historical Data Retention
