Wide Array of Breakthrough Surface Treatment Technologies on Display at ICE USA

Menomonee Falls, WI - Enercon Industries Corporation is pleased to announce its ICE exhibition booth 1035 will include new and breakthrough surface treating technology for a wide array of applications. New Atmospheric Plasma Solutions Plasma4(TM) and Plasma Synergy(TM)
Enercon's Atmospheric Plasma Technology Director Rory Wolf will present Synergistic Plasma Technique for Achieving Remarkable Surface Adhesion at the ICE USA Conference Sponsored by Aimcal on Wednesday April 6th at 11:00 am. The presentation will share technical data of a new atmospheric plasma process called Plasma Synergy(TM) which details the production of highly stable surface energy which produces significant step changes in peel adhesion strength. The data will conclusively show how this process out performs any existing single step treatment process. In Enercon's booth visitors can see firsthand the effectiveness of Enercon's new Plasma4(TM) atmospheric plasma surface treater. A demonstration of the system's effectiveness on PTFE, which is notorious for its difficulty to treat, will be available. However the best features of Enercon's fourth generation of production class technology are its breakthrough operating benefits. Plasma4(TM) offers the industry's lowest gas consumption, eliminates electrode breakage and automatically adjusts treatment air gap. New Air Treat(TM) enables pattern treating and remote electrode segment actuation
Enercon is pleased to announce an innovative treatment solution for pattern treating called Air Treat(TM). Air Treat(TM) solves many problems for film extruders. Operators can now set treater electrode segments from the operator interface and receive on screen feedback on current segment position. This eliminates the process of manually actuating segmented electrodes on treaters which are often located in difficult to reach places. With Air Treat(TM) there's no second guessing whether your operator correctly positioned the segments for the next job. Jobs will be run correct the first time with the treatment pattern specified and confirmed on the operator panel reducing waste and increasing productivity. Air Treat(TM) is available as an option with Enercon's CSO corona treater which features stainless steel electrodes, several roll covering options and high performance power generation from Enercon's Compak(TM) power supply models. High Definition Corona for Printing, Coating and Laminating
Enercon's VP of Application Engineering Tom Gilbertson will present Substrate Surface Treatment Options at the 2011 CEMA Coating & Laminating Fundamentals for Converters Seminar on Tuesday April 5th at 8am. His presentation will provide insights on a variety of corona surface treating topics including High Definition Corona, operating basics and common troubleshooting tips and techniques. Enercon's exhibit will include a High Definition Corona treater with specially constructed ceramic electrodes with an extremely high dielectric constant and superior capability for high power densities. The system also has a unique ground roll design. Unlike conductive ceramic roll systems, Enercon's design features a proprietary ceramic blend formulation optimized for numerous application challenges. The High Definition corona system provides the industry's best insurance against film wrinkling, puckering, pinholing and backside treatment. In addition, the system offers flexibility in its ability to treat both conductive and non-conductive films equally well. Enercon Industries Corporation, headquartered in Menomonee Falls, WI, is a major manufacturer of equipment for the plastics, converting and packaging industries. The company supplies custom built corona and atmospheric plasma treating systems, as well as induction cap sealing systems. Contact: Mark Plantier, VP Marketing
