White Systems History

White Systems was founded in 1946 and has since capitalized on the need to automate storage and retrieval systems for office, distribution centers, warehouses and factories worldwide.

In the 1960's the company focused on the manufacturing of garment conveyor equipment, much like what you see in today's dry cleaning facilities. Advantages from the reduction of operating costs in distribution and manufacturing lead to the development of the first horizontal carousel in the 1970's followed by automated systems being introduced in the 1980's. Vertical carousels and vertical lift modules were soon developed as the company continued its focus on efficient cost saving solutions for a broad range of storage and retrieval applications which continues to this day.

White Systems is now the leader in designing and building the highest performance carousel systems. The company offers the most durable and widest range of systems in the industry backed by their own in-house service organization. The carousel equipment and software provides customers with high reliability and reduced operating costs needed to be successful and has played a part in several award winning material handling systems.

Future Plans for Growth

White Systems' success has focused on the manufacturing and distribution industries' need to automate and thereby reduce product handling costs. With the competitive global marketplace of today, demand for cost savings, improved efficiency and operational improvement has never been higher. With carousel technology, companies can increase capacity, inventory and pick accuracy while reducing pick cycles, floor space, and product loss. With this automated technology companies also see significant savings in non-value adding labor costs.

Through innovative product design and manufacturing, White Systems custom tailors their products to meet specific customer requirements. The company's flexibility and creative approach to how they apply their products to many different types of applications offers unlimited potential for growth. Remarkable growth has already been seen in specific niche markets such as distribution warehouses, semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and spare parts facilities. The company is also looking at possible acquisitions that would offer customers an even broader range of product and services.

"We believe it is the ability to innovate and execute new solutions that separates White from the competition," said John Molloy, President and COO. "Our goal is to create and nurture a working relationship through our sales staff, dealers, integrators and customer support team in order to provide the best solution for our client's individual needs worldwide."

White Systems' products and services include: horizontal carousels, vertical carousels, vertical lift modules, light directed systems, robotics, rail system components, systems integration, project management, and customer service and support. White Systems offers a comprehensive suite of sophisticated Windows(TM) based software and controls. The company has an entire business group dedicated to writing and supporting the customized software solutions that integrate right into a company's ERP system for precise inventory accuracy. The company serves both business and government organizations throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, including the Middle East.
