West River Conveyors Returns from Successful Show at the First International Mining Conference and Expo (IMEX) in Las Vegas
West River Conveyors representatives exhibited at IMEX 2014 to share underground conveyor products with the mining industry

West River Conveyors and Machinery Company returned late last week from the first ever International Mining Conference and Expo (IMEX) in Las Vegas, Nevada September 23-25. This new kind of event for the mining industry centered on a strong educational program covering a broad array of issues, challenges and opportunities important to everyone involved in the mining business. The show provided an opportunity for West River Conveyors representatives to be an exhibitor to share underground conveyor product innovation with the Western US mining industry.Â
Pete Savage, VP International Sales for West River said “This show gave us a great opportunity to share our capabilities with a new group of mining folks. Having recently hired a Western US sales representative, it was the perfect opportunity for us to share what we can provide with the Western US. We were able to connect with decision makers in mining sectors that we’ve not worked with before. Customers were there from both Canada and Mexico which gave us additional international contacts, something we’ve been working towards for months. We are excited to be able to do some quoting on some projects in those countries.”
The new show had an entire conference track dedicated to underground mining, a track that made the show even more attractive for West River to attend. As the mining industry evolves and changes, decision makers are most interested in improving efficiency and lowering costs in challenging underground mining environments. West River was there as a supplier to offer quality, affordable conveyor system solutions to those in attendance.Â
