Weiler Corporation Joins In Humanitarian Relief Effort
Weiler Corporation, the Weiler family and Weiler co-workers are responding to the needs of thousands of survivors of Hurricane Katrina with extraordinary generosity and compassion.
Within days of this unprecedented disaster, The Weiler Family Foundation responded with a donation to the Monroe County Red Cross to provide critical emergency financial support. The privately supported Foundation consists of members of the Weiler family and was formed as a vehicle to ¡§give back to the community¡¨ through charitable works.
From a corporate standpoint, Weiler¡¦s Leadership Committee recognized a way to reach out by networking with Weiler¡¦s distributor partners in the Gulf region. A relief fund was established to ensure that funds were specifically directed where needed most. In addition, the affected distributors are being provided with extended dating on all open and future invoices together with additional discounts on all product purchases.
Weiler co-workers also donated hygiene, health and clean-up items. The company added hundreds of street brooms and scrub brushes pulled from inventory to the piles of toothpaste, soap, disinfectant, etc.
The company is currently working on a substantial additional donation of appropriate product for use in the massive clean-up effort.
