Somerset, NJ: The Easydos Pro weigh feeder controller from process equipment manufacturer Gericke USA, Somerset, NJ (www.gerickegroup.com), automatically detects changes in the bulk density, moisture content, and other material characteristics and adjusts the feed rate to compensate. Powered by a proprietary algorithm, the Easydos Pro constantly monitors the weight of the feed material and increases or decreases the motor speed as needed to maintain the targeted feed rate and ensure a 99 percent or better metering accuracy rate. In the event of a major deviation in the material or operating error, the control system automatically shuts off the feeder and signals an alert to the operator, protecting the process equipment from potential damage and safeguarding the product quality from degradation.
Suitable for both volumetric and gravimetric feeding in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and for virtually any powder handling process, the versatile Easydos Pro invites on the fly adjustments to the weighing algorithm sensitivity to accommodate different products and to automatically filter out plant vibrations or other common disturbances. The controller operates with Ethernet/IP, Profibus DP and Profinet interfaces for easy integration with existing process control systems.
Easydos Pro is included as standard instrumentation on the company's line of weigh feeders including the Feedos series volumetric feeders, gravimetric loss-inweight feeders, and hybrid tare compensation weighing systems. The advanced control system may be retrofit on Gericke weigh feeders in the field.
