Web Handling Workshops Offered by Optimation in 2015

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Optimation announced today its 2015 Web Handling Training Workshops, offered through its Media Conveyance Facility, for roll-to-roll manufacturers. The first class, Web Handling Fundamentals, begins on April 21, 2015.

Optimation’s web handling workshops provide students with a unique, hands-on experience, preparing them to solve web and conveyance problems that occur on their own lines. Workshops have two dimensions: a classroom seminar to explain the engineering principles behind each web process, and a live lab demonstration to prove the methods used to solve common problems in the field.

“These workshops are directed towards technical employees of any level with a need to understand the principles of web handling,” says Dr. Kevin Cole, head instructor. “Though the workshops will include some engineering theory and equations, the goal of the workshops are to show how theory and experiment lead to practical solutions to common problems. Controls Engineers, technical managers, process engineers and maintenance managers will all find these workshops to be useful in their day to day work activities.”
