AIA Launches New Web-Based State-by-State Database

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Aerospace Industries Association has launched a new tool on its website that provides a one-stop source for information on employment, payroll, average wages and the number of aerospace establishments in all 50 states and selected metropolitan areas.

"One of AIA's important functions is to provide timely and accurate employment information on the aerospace industry," said Marion C. Blakey, AIA president and CEO. "This new database will help policymakers, analysts and other aerospace advocates better understand the breadth of our industry and its contribution to the economy."

Located on the Resources tab of www.aia-aerospace.org under Statistics, the tool also allows users to request reports for employment and average wages for selected aerospace occupations by state.

The page was launched today as part of National Aerospace Week, a weeklong commemoration of the role the aerospace and defense industry has in driving our economic vitality, national security and technological superiority.
