Washington State Department of Natural Resources Improves Operational Workflows with Trimble's Connected Forest Solution

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today that the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Forestry Division, one of the largest state forestry operations in the U.S., will implement Trimble's Land Resource Manager (LRM) solution to deliver a common platform, simplified processes and timely access to land management activities related to timber sales, silviculture, forest inventory and timber revenue.

Trimble's LRM solution is an intuitive, interactive and spatially aware enterprise application for managing land and forestry operations. The software solution serves the critical functions of forest resource planning, management and decision support with flexible customer-specific business workflows. LRM is a key component of Trimble's Connected Forest solutions, which manage the full raw materials lifecycle.

"State agencies are challenged to improve processes, which only increases as IT systems age and the demand for information increases," said Ken Moen, general manager of Trimble's Forestry Division. "We look forward to supporting the Washington State Department of Natural Resources on its transformation associated with the ability to share and manage their extensive forestry supply chain data."

About Washington Department of Natural Resources

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) manages over 3,000,000 acres (12,000 square kilometers) of forest, range, agricultural, and commercial lands for the U.S. state of Washington. The DNR also manages 2,600,000 acres (11,000 square kilometers) of aquatic areas which include shorelines, tidelands, lands under Puget Sound and the coast, and navigable lakes and rivers. The main sources of funds for the department's activities are forestry and geoduck harvesting, rather than taxes.
