Walter Meier Is Expanding into Denmark

Schwerzenbach, February 9, 2011 - The climate and manufacturing technology group Walter Meier is expanding its market presence in humidification into Denmark and, effective immediately, is acquiring its distribution partner of many decades, Anderberg Fugstyring A/S.

Walter Meier is the world's leading manufacturer of humidification systems for commercial buildings and is pursuing a growth strategy aimed at directly serving its target markets. Says Silvan G.-R. Meier, CEO, "Although our established brands Condair and Defensor are already market leaders in Denmark, we see additional potential for growth in becoming directly involved in the market. Further, we will expand our presence in direct room humidification with our Draabe products."

Anderberg has been a successful distribution partner of Walter Meier for over 45 years. In 2010, Anderberg achieved annual sales of over CHF 2 million and employed eight staff, who will all keep their positions. In addition, the current owner and general manager, Claus Frykman, has kindly agreed to make his services available to Walter Meier.
