Walter Coady Promoted to Technical Sales Manager - Government Systems at AMAG Technology
AMAG Technology's increasing market share in the Federal Government space prompted the creation of a new position, Technical Sales Manager - Government Systems. AMAG is pleased to announce that Walter Coady has accepted the new role. AMAG Technology, an access control, security management and IP video solution provider, created the new position to educate and champion the many existing Federal government customers, prospective customers and consultants about AMAG Technology and its government compliant Symmetry(TM) Homeland product portfolio. Walter has been employed at AMAG since 2004, has vast sales experience in the government sector and is especially astute with the newly launched Symmetry Intrusion Detection System. He reports to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Matt Barnette.
"This new position will allow me to focus my efforts on the government market," said Walter. "I will have more time to assist our government team with the sales and technical aspects of our FIPS compliant solution."

AMAG's Symmetry Homeland Security Management System is fully FIPS 201 compliant and meets HSPD-12 requirements. The product also recently received the FIPS 140-2 certification.
In early 2011, AMAG will officially launch Symmetry Homeland V7. Symmetry Homeland V7 features integrated access control and IP video management with a newly enhanced Intrusion Detection System (IDS) capability that will allow authorized individuals to manage their intrusion system from AMAG's new Javelin S884 contactless smart card reader. The initial Javelin reader is capable of reading NXP MIFARE® and MIFARE® DESFire smart cards, as well as PIV, CAC, TWIC and FRAC cards. Additional models will be released throughout 2011. This highly sought-after product is already working in several high security installations and features many enhancements that are specific to the government market.
In addition to his new responsibilities, Walter will continue to provide excellent customer service and sales support to the Mid-Atlantic region.
