Waller, Todd & Sadler to Conduct Facilities Study, Structural Analysis for Northampton Schools Building
The firm was selected for a term contract by Northampton County and will evaluate and recommend improvements for the Northampton Middle School/High School building.
Eastville, VA. (PRWeb) February 28, 2019 -- Waller, Todd & Sadler, a Woolpert Company, has been selected for a term contract by the Northampton County Board of Supervisors. Under this contract, the firm will conduct a facilities study and structural analysis of the Northampton Middle School/High School building.
The term contract is renewable for up to four additional one-year periods. Waller, Todd & Sadler will evaluate the combined high school and middle school facility to determine its immediate and long-term needs, develop a detailed cost-benefit analysis and recommend prioritized options with associated costs.
“We’ve conducted architecture and engineering projects in the division before and are familiar with the structural history and updates specific to this facility,” said Woolpert Practice Leader Howard Collins, the project’s principal in charge. “This familiarity gives us a jump-start on this project and will allow much-needed work on the facility to begin when school lets out this summer.”
Collins lauded the fact that the contract was determined by a joint committee, with representatives from the Northampton County Board of Supervisors and Northampton County Public Schools.
“By working within the county budget and prioritizing the shopping list of work that needs to get done, they’re making sure the most critical needs are addressed first and in descending order of importance,” Collins said. “This is the most effective utilization of the funding they have available and is therefore a win-win for Northampton County residents and students.”
This study is now underway.
