Walker Corporation Acquires Specialty International de Mexico, Expands Internationally
ONTARIO, CA, August 10, 2009, Walker Corporation, a precision metalforming company headquartered in Ontario, California, has recently acquired Specialty International de Mexico. Specialty (SIM) is a metal fabricating, welding, assembly, and powder coating operation producing high-quality fabricated assemblies and products located in Monclova, NL, Mexico. The acquired company will become Walker Specialty International de Mexico, a division of Walker Corporation.
Walker Corporation has also purchased equipment and leased facilities formerly occupied by Monterrey Metal Products (MMP) in Apodaca (Monterrey), NL, Mexico. This location will also operate as Walker Specialty International de Mexico.
With these two new facilities in Mexico and 108,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Ontario, CA, Walker Corporation offers customers a complete range of metalforming expertise in the United States and in Mexico. Services include high-volume progressive die stamping, mid-range stamping capabilities, as well as automated welding and assembly, metal fabrication and coating services in both countries.
