Vytran Hires William J. De Costa as Director of Sales and Marketing

Morganville, New Jersey, January 4, 2011 - Vytran, an innovative supplier of optical fiber processing solutions, has hired William "Bill" J. De Costa as Director of Sales and Marketing. De Costa brings to Vytran over 20 years of marketing, sales, program management and product development experience in the photonics field.

De Costa has built global sales organizations and marketed photonic systems for both established and start-up companies. Prior to Vytran, De Costa was sales manager for AOFR, where he spearheaded a laser combiner product introduction for the fiber laser, biomedical, and light detection and ranging (Lidar) markets. He has also been the director of sales and marketing for Sabeus and for Oluma, where he led marketing strategy development and sales penetration into the optical sensing and communication markets. De Costa spent 13 years at Coherent as a senior engineer and then a product line manager. In this role, he developed and implemented a successful worldwide strategy for laser beam metrology instruments and high end chillers. De Costa holds a B.S. in manufacturing engineering from National University.
