VWR Launches Free Lab Management Solution to Support the Science Community

RADNOR, Pa. - VWR (NASDAQ: VWR), the leading, global, independent provider of product and service solutions to laboratory and production customers, announced the launch of SciTivity, a free web solution that allows scientific researchers to plan, manage and share laboratory information to ease and improve experimentation.

Developed by VWR, SciTivity enables communication among scientists sharing labs and equipment. The tool allows users to reserve equipment and supplies to support lab efficiencies, centrally manage vendors and service contracts for easy documentation, and share SOPs, certificates, warranties, experiment results and more to support collaboration and seamless accessibility among team members.  VWR initiated a soft launch of SciTivity earlier this year.  Since the soft launch, numerous universities and research facilities around the world have started leveraging this tool.  Following this success, the Company is excited to launch the website to the entire science community.

"When we created SciTivity, we decided it was a tool that would support lab productivity for all scientists," stated Manuel Brocke-Benz, President and CEO of VWR.  "As a result, we made a conscious decision not to limit it to just our customers. We are excited to share this free tool as a small way to support science around the world."
