VisionGauge® OnLine Optical Character Recognition Systems / Optical Character Verification Systems are able to automatically locate and read text, verify that the text matches the expected character string, compute results statistics, export & exchange the results, produce reports. These systems are used in various industries to automatically identify component serial numbers, read labels, identify parts, etc.
These systems include adapted, low distortion optics & programmable, computer-controlled illumination, for repeatability of results. Also included is the entire VisionGauge® OnLine toolset which is available to automatically cleanup the image before carrying out the character recognition operation which improves results in cases where there's contamination or background noise.
VisionGauge® OnLine's automated OCR / OCV tool includes an advanced, proprietary "character splitting" algorithm to deal with print imperfections, smears, etc. It's also "user-trainable" and supports user-supplied character & symbol libraries.
Multiple configurations of VisionGauge® OnLine Optical Character Recognition / Optical Character Verification Systems are available, including entire workstations with part fixturing and even simple camera/computer configurations to integrate directly into a production line.
