The new time-saving system provides customers on Vishay.com with more accurate and up-to-date authorized distributor inventory availability information on the company's wide product portfolio.
netCOMPONENTS is a leading global electronic components sourcing site that maintains the industry's largest database of worldwide electronic component suppliers' inventories. The database lists the sources for millions of active, passive, electromechanical, and other components that mount onto PCBs, including ICs, MOSFETs, diodes, optoelectronic products, resistors, inductors, capacitors, and more.
With the new netCOMPONENTS service on Vishay.com, up-to-date inventory data is transferred directly from distributors to the customer's desk — eliminating time wasted searching through inventory that has already been sold. To find available stock of a Vishay component, the customer enters the part number in the "BUY NOW Check Distributor Stock" field on the Vishay homepage. If that part is available via the netCOMPONENTS service, the customer is presented with the quantity on hand for each distributor. The customer then checks the box next to the distributor he or she wishes to purchase from, clicks the shopping cart icon, and is taken to the distributor website where a purchase can be made.
