Vishay Intertechnology Honored With 2012 TTI Supplier Excellence Awards in North America and Europe
MALVERN, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that the company has received 2012 Supplier Excellence Awards in North America and Europe from TTI, Inc. Vishay is one of the world's largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components. The TTI Supplier Excellence Awards program is centered on quality measurements that include on-time delivery, receiving quality, customer quality, administrative quality, sales support, and business systems. Winners are determined by performance points for these criteria.

This is the 10th time since 1995 and the seventh year in a row that Vishay has won the North America Supplier Excellence Award, making the company a Platinum level award winner. The award was presented on May 7 during the 2013 Electronic Distribution Show and Conference (EDS) in Las Vegas. TTI's Pizzey; Michael Knight, Senior Vice President, Americas; and Mike Morton, President, Americas, presented the award to Vishay's David Valletta, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales; Joel Smejkal, Senior Vice President, Sales Distribution; and Steve Nye, Vishay's Distribution Strategic Account Manager for TTI and Mouser.

This is the second year in a row that Vishay has won the Europe Supplier Excellence Award, earning the company a Bronze-level status. The award was presented at an April 29 ceremony in TTI's European headquarters in Gernlinden, Germany. TTI's Geoff Breed, Vice President of Marketing, Europe; Joerg Frodl, Director of Product Marketing, Europe, Discretes and Passives; and Felix Corbett, Director of Supplier Marketing, Europe, Discretes and Passives, presented the award to Vishay's Philippe Masson, Director of Sales Distribution, Europe; and Doris Hilbert, Key Account Manager, TTI Europe.
