Visa Canada to Work with AmbironTrustWave to Deliver PCI DSS Compliance Solutions to Merchants

TORONTO and CHICAGO, Nov. 15 -- Visa Canada announced it will help Canadian merchants meet their obligations to comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) by offering free compliance validation services through AmbironTrustWave. In accordance with Visa Canada's Account Information Security (AIS) program, all Canadian merchants that store, process and/or transmit credit card information are required to comply with PCI DSS.

This offer is available to merchants processing between 250 thousand and one million Visa® transactions in Canada annually, and provides:

o Online self-assessment for merchants through an on-line security
questionnaire and a vulnerability scan;

o Quarterly vulnerability scans;

o Up to four (4) directed vulnerability scans for merchants at their
request;

o An annual self-assessment compliance report for the Merchant,
available on-line through AmbironTrustWave's secure web-based
compliance management portal, TrustKeeper*, which shall include:

o Tracking of the on-line security questionnaire;

o Assessment of compliance with the AIS Program;

o Remediation guidance to achieve compliance with the AIS Program.

o Help Desk Technical Support as well as 24 x 7 Emergency Response
Support for merchants.

The Visa AIS program requires all merchants to be compliant with PCI DSS, which is the standard used by all major credit card companies. By participating in this offer, which is available in English and French, merchants will have the tools to determine their level of compliance. Merchants that qualify will receive a notice from Visa informing them of the offer together with details on how to contact AmbironTrustWave. Qualified merchants wishing to take advantage of this offer must contact AmbironTrustWave by 28 February 2007.

"Helping our merchants meet the PCI DSS requirements is a critical business initiative for Visa Canada because of our commitment to ensure that transactions are conducted in a safe and secure manner," said Mike Hayes, Vice President, Operations, Infrastructure and Risk for Visa Canada. "This free comprehensive validation service will go a long way to help merchants get on the road to full PCI DSS compliance."

As an additional benefit for achieving PCI DSS compliance through AmbironTrustWave's TrustKeeper compliance management portal, merchants will have the ability to display AmbironTrustWave's "Trusted Commerce" compliance seal on their e-commerce Web sites. The seal indicates to consumers that the merchant is receiving compliance services to help protect sensitive credit card and order information. While the free validation services offered through this program may assist in achieving full PCI DSS compliance, merchants may still have to meet additional requirements to ensure full compliance.

"By offering merchants easy access to compliance solutions, Visa Canada is taking a proactive approach to securing credit card data that not only benefits Visa Canada and merchants, but consumers as well, in the form of a more secure transaction supply chain," said Robert J. McCullen, CEO of AmbironTrustWave. "We are pleased to work with Visa Canada to ensure the integrity of credit card data that is processed and/or transmitted."
