Vernon Named to Spirax Sarco Board
BLYTHEWOOD, SC -Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc announces that Mark E. Vernon, President and General Manager of Spirax Sarco, Inc. (SSI), the U.S. subsidiary company, will join the Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc Board of Directors as Divisional Director on July 1, 2006. He will have responsibility for company operations in North and South America, the group marketing department in the United Kingdom and will retain his present position as President of SSI. Vernon will remain based in the USA.
Vernon joined SSI in 2003 as President, having nearly 25 years experience with Valtek, Durco International and Flowserve. He earned his BS in Chemistry from Weber State University and has completed Harvard University's Advanced Manager Program for Senior International Managers. He is a current director of the Valve Manufacturers Association of America.
