Velocity Outdoor Announced Mike Weinkauf Vice President of Marketing Communications
Bloomfield, NY – Velocity Outdoor is pleased to announce that Mike Weinkauf of Ravin Crossbows is now Vice President of Marketing Communications for Velocity Outdoor. Mike comes to Velocity Outdoor as part of the recent acquisition of Ravin Crossbows. In this role, he will be responsible for continuing to strengthen all the Velocity Outdoor Brands with his strong marketing background.
“Mike and his Ravin team introduced their first crossbow in January 2017 and up-ended the crossbow category with their groundbreaking HeliCoil technology,” said Steve Upham Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Velocity Outdoor. “Since then, the company’s crossbows have been lavished with praise from both the archery community and gun lovers.”
Mike is well known and respected in the outdoor hunting industry. His career includes 13 years with Babe Winkelman Productions where he was responsible for all facets of the company, which included: production, marketing, advertising sales, profit and loss, and television syndication. Mike moved on to join Field Logic where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In 2015, he joined Ravin Crossbows and has been instrumental in promoting the brand as a leader in the archery industry and continues to do so today.
