VectorWorks Users Arkin Tilt Architects and Kuth/Ranieri Architects Win AIA San Francisco 2006 Design Awards
Columbia, MD (June 26, 2006) - Nemetschek North America announced today that the company is pleased to recognize two of its San Francisco VectorWorks Architect users for winning design citation and design honor awards in the AIA San Francisco Design 2006 Awards. Berkeley-based Arkin Tilt received a 2006 Design Citation Award in the Energy + Sustainability category for its Eastern Sierra Residence project. San Francisco firm Kuth/Ranieri won a 2006 Design Honor Award for Excellence in Architecture for the LEF Foundation Artists' Retreat, a 2006 Design Citation Award for Excellence in Architecture for I_S Cottage, and another 2006 Design Citation Award in the Interior Architecture category for the Wurster Residence Renovation.
"The Eastern Sierra Residence was one of the first projects in which we utilized VectorWorks Architect," says David Arkin, AIA, Arkin Tilt principal and project architect. "VectorWorks was invaluable in the 3D study and calculation of the layout of SIP splines in the upturned corner roof.
