Unitime Systems Signs 2,000th Customer For Its Time And Attendance Software

Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission purchases UNITIME Enterprise edition

BOULDER CO, October 11, 2005: Unitime Systems has signed the 2,000th customer for its UNITIME Automated Timekeeping System(TM) time and attendance software. Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, has purchased the Enterprise edition of UNITIME, a SQL-based application designed for mid-sized to large organizations.

The addition of T&TEC is another milestone in the 12-year history of Unitime, which has grown from 500 customers in 1996 to 1,500 in 2003 and 2,000 today throughout North America. It also marks entry into the Caribbean marketplace for Unitime, which plans to expand into Central and South America. T&TEC provides electricity for the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, located approximately 1,600 miles from Florida.

T&TEC will employ UNITIME Enterprise to process time and attendance information for up to 3,000 hourly, monthly and piece-rated employees at 19 locations throughout Trinidad and Tobago. T&TEC will use UNITIME's WebESS employee self-service program that gives employees access to their personal time and attendance reports; WebEntry data collection program; Points Manager(TM) feature that automates employee incentive policies; and Benefits Manager(TM) capability that automatically calculates and tracks employee paid-time-off benefits.

Employees will "clock in" to UNITIME using fingerprint-reading terminals and access their time and attendance information via touch-screen kiosks equipped with WebESS.

T&TEC chose Unitime following a four-month vendor evaluation process, citing several UNITIME features and functions. Those include 10 levels of accounting and the ability to hold an unlimited number of pay periods; WebSuite, which enables supervisors to access the software via a web browser at any time from anywhere; and the WebESS feature that gives employees access to their personal reports. UNITIME replaces TimeKeeper Central from Kronos Incorporated that T&TEC had been using since 1998.

"We're extremely proud to sign our 2,000th customer," said Doug Peterman, Unitime president and co-founder. "It's especially gratifying to achieve this milestone with a distinguished international business like T&TEC. Our experience working with T&TEC will help fuel our future growth in the international marketplace."

Unitime will work with its Trinidad and Tobago-based business partner, Sigma Communications, to service the T&TEC account. "We and Unitime are looking forward to a long and mutually satisfying relationship with T&TEC," said Kenneth Charles, President of Sigma Communications.
